Summer 2025 at the CAE and UWC

Welcome to the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) and the University Writing Center (UWC)!

Subject tutoring, academic coaching, and writing support are available at no additional cost for all Drew students.  Summer appointments are available online only (through WCOnline or Zoom).  All sessions are synchronous (i.e., you meet in real-time) and run on EST.

The University Writing Center (UWC) offers online writing support and academic coaching on a by-appointment-only (BAO) basis to all undergraduate, graduate, and theological students at Drew.

  • Use the middle LIMIT TO drop down menu to find a writing specialist who best fits your writing needs.
  • Bring all related materials (ideas, research, drafts, assignment guidelines, etc.) to maximize your time.  All UWC appointments are interactive and collaborative as you and the Writing Specialist will engage in conversation about your writing and your ideas.
  • Email us at uwc@drew.edu if you have questions or need assistance.

The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) will support online subject-specific, content-area tutoring only by student requests, when possible.

  • Due to very limited tutor availability, the CAE will only accept Tutor Requests via this form.  If an online tutor can be arranged, any session will be by-appointment-only (BAO) with appointments scheduled at least 24 hours in advance or with Director approval.
  • Narrow your focus by using the middle LIMIT TO drop-down menu to search for your specific summer class.  A class will be visible only if the outreach for a Tutor Request has been successful.
  • Email us at cae@drew.edu if you have questions or need assistance.
